Business workflow automation

Make one repetitive process easier to run and hand over.

For small teams spending staff time copying, checking and re-entering the same information, I map one real process and build the smallest useful automation around the tools you already use. The first version keeps a named person in control of sensitive or unusual cases, records clear failure states, and is handed over with practical operating notes. This is a fixed-scope implementation, not an unconditional 24/7 support promise.

What you receive

  • A short current-process map covering trigger, systems, volume, owner and failure cost.
  • One trigger and up to two customer-owned systems, agreed before work starts.
  • Required-field validation with understandable rejection reasons.
  • Normalised duplicate detection so repeat submissions do not create a second queue item.
  • A report or CSV queue that makes accepted work visible and reviewable.
  • One documented fallback/recovery route for an unavailable destination.
  • Acceptance evidence for normal, duplicate, malformed, unavailable-destination and recovery cases, plus a disable/rollback check.
  • Concise handover notes covering field mapping, ownership, test data, recovery and scheduled checks.

What to send

  • A description of the current repetitive process and its desired outcome.
  • A small set of safe sample records and the expected result for each.
  • Access to the customer-owned test accounts or a customer-run test window.
  • The two systems, field rules, expected volume and named failure owner.
  • Any required funded cloud/API account supplied and paid for directly by the customer.

Start with a description or a sanitised sample. We agree an appropriate transfer route for private material.

Scope and revisions

One agreed revision round within the written scope; additional systems, workflows or material changes are separately scoped.

What needs a separate scope
  • Unbounded multi-system programmes or full custom SaaS development.
  • Unconditional 24/7 monitoring or emergency response.
  • Customer credentials, cloud/API subscriptions or third-party account costs.
  • Claims of regulatory, accounting or clinical assurance.

Timing starts after complete inputs and an agreed production slot. Additional work is agreed before it is started.
